The Sennheiser Group will showcase its portfolio of audio brands and technologies across the broadcast signal chain at IBC2026, from capture through to monitoring and delivery, on Stand 8.D50. The showcase centres on Spectera, Sennheiser’s bidirectional wideband wireless ecosystem, which will be shown alongside the new Spectera SKM handheld microphone, completing the core Spectera line-up ahead of its commercial availability in mid-September.
Also on show is the Spectera Base Station ZMAN, carrying a Merging ZMAN audio network module for AES67 ecosystems with native ST 2110-30 audio integration, expected to be available from October 2026.
The stand will also demonstrate Spectera Command functionality, giving performers or speakers direct control of pre-configured audio routing via a Command Button or, from October 2026, a Command Ring for the SKM handheld, allowing users to mute audio or open a talkback channel. Sennheiser’s EW-DX EM4 digital wireless system will round out the wireless showcase, alongside SoundBase’s RF planning and management software, which has added full support for Spectera and its Command functionality.
Visitors will get an exclusive look at new additions to Neumann’s studio monitor portfolio, alongside two new capsule heads for Sennheiser’s wireless systems, the KK 104 A (cardioid) and KK 105 A (super-cardioid), successors to the KK 204 and KK 205 with improved handling-noise suppression. A separate workflow-focused area of the stand will walk visitors through a complete broadcast audio signal chain, from capture using Sennheiser’s MKH series microphones and EW-DX EM4 receiver, through Merging Technologies’ HAPI audio interface, to monitoring via Neumann’s KH series and Sennheiser’s HD 480 PRO and HD 490 PRO headphones, with broadcast integration across SMPTE 2110, Dante, NMOS and Lawo HOME.
Spectera’s live broadcast credentials were demonstrated earlier this year at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna, where the ecosystem, including manufacturing samples of the SKM handheld, was deployed across multiple Base Stations to deliver wireless microphones, in-ear monitoring and control for the show.
