Exhibitors prepare for PLASA Focus

Beginning tomorrow, PLASA Focus: Leeds will host a range of new product launches from the audio, video and lighting industries, as well as educational sessions and seminars.

PLASA Focus: Leeds 2012 kicks off tomorrow at the Royal Armouries, Leeds. The event is set to showcase products from a ‘record breaking number of exhibitors’ and provide 20 different sessions and seminars to attendees as part of its free Professional Development Programme.

Among the audio exhibitors, Sennheiser will showcase its XS Wireless Series – an entry-level wireless microphone package equipped to handle bandwidth switching up to 24 MHz. Meanwhile Studiospares are giving visitors an experience of its new monitor M1000 studio headphones.

Philips Selecon will be presenting two new additions to its LED lighting technology: the Studio Panel, which features variable colour temperature from 2700K up to 6000K and uses a mix of amber and white LEDs; and the PLCyc LED light which incorporates an elliptical reflector system; both of which were launched at Frankfurt.

At Avolites stand will be the company’s Sapphire Touch stage lighting control console, comprising 45 motorised faders and a tricolour optical trackball functionality. The company will also be previewing its latest Titan V6 Operating System which offers new features such as assingable global and individual rate masters that enable over-ride of BPM and Times.

Yamaha will be premiering its new CL Series of digital mixing consoles consisting of three models: the CL1, CL3 and CL5 ranging from 48 to 72 mono and containing eight stereo inputs.

KLOTZ cables will feature its Multicore series, Modular Installation System and a range of fibre-optic cable solutions at the event, which is due to open at 10am on Tuesday 17 April.
