Trade association AVIXA has appointed Marco Pardi as chief executive officer, succeeding David Labuskes, who retires on December 31, 2026, after 14 years leading the global body.
Pardi will assume executive leadership of the organisation on January 1, 2027, following a 12-month global search process overseen by the AVIXA board of directors and supported by executive search consultancy Korn Ferry.
Joining AVIXA from international events and digital media company Informa, Pardi served as president of its tech events portfolio, directing live and digital event programmes, corporate marketing services and training across North America, Europe and Asia. His 25-year background in B2B technology operations includes overseeing commercial event portfolios such as The AI Summit, Channel Partners Expo, Data Center World and Network X.
During his tenure as CEO, Labuskes directed the transition and rebranding of the organisation from InfoComm International to AVIXA in 2017, reconstructed association operations following the Covid-19 pandemic, and introduced educational accreditations including the Audiovisual Network Professional (ANP) certification and the monthly Pro AV Business Index.
AVIXA, which co-owns the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) exhibition and produces InfoComm trade shows worldwide, represents more than 3,000 enterprise member companies and over 20,000 individual industry professionals across 80 countries.
Marco Pardi, incoming CEO at AVIXA, said: “Very few non-profit organisations in the tech space have the brand reputation, global reach, and programmatic diversity of this Association. As the pro AV industry has broadened in scope, appeal, and value, AVIXA has kept pace with these developments, fully embracing the convergence with IT and related disciplines without compromising the passion and commitment which sit at the core of its identity.”
