Formerly the Linear Audio Video Control Group, The AVC Group has disclosed details of several senior appointments to its team. The changes – announced by The AVC Group president Mark Terry and effective immediately – are designed “to position the company for long-term worldwide sales growth”.
Bob Farinelli, formerly president of ELAN Home systems, becomes chief technology officer of The AVC Group; he is succeeded in his previous position by Paul Starkey. Following the retirement of Frank Stearns, Mike Detmer has been promoted to president of the Niles brand, while Graham Hallett continues in his role as president of the Xantech brand.
Two further appointments complete the new senior management team. Richard Schnell, who becomes VP of finance, has previously worked for SpeakerCraft, SmartFlex Systems, Fujitsu International Computers and Quintec Interconnect Systems, among other prominent names. Meanwhile, the new VP of operations, Vipul Doshi, previously held a similar role at Niles Audio Corporation and has also worked for Vizio Inc, Kinpo/Calcomp Electronics and Hewlett-Packard Company.
Mark Terry (pictured, right with, L to R, Doshi, Hallett, Starkey, Schnell, Detmer and Farinelli) told IE Residential: “The appointment of this management team, both at the group level and at the individual brand level, is going help us to commercialise promising new technologies, accelerate a new generation of clearly differentiated brand offerings that complement each other, and create multiple-brand sales programmes that bring new value to our worldwide CI customer base. This is about creating synergies that generate leverage for our dealers.”
