Some 66 per cent of organisations now consider AI capabilities an important factor when evaluating AV solutions, according to new research from Futuresource Consulting. The company’s latest AV Decision Maker Report highlights the changing priorities of enterprise buyers as hybrid working models mature and organisations modernise their workplace environments, combining responses from Futuresource’s global AV Decision-Maker Survey with industry research and interviews with enterprise buyers.
The study found that 51 per cent of organisations have expanded office space since January 2025, while 49 per cent have increased meeting room capacity. Displays are now installed in more than three-quarters of meeting rooms worldwide, and more than two-thirds of organisations plan to increase deployment of integrated meeting room systems over the next two years.
Among organisations already using integrated meeting room systems, 85 per cent reported satisfaction with their reliability and ease of use.
The report also points to continued movement away from fully office-based working: while 52 per cent of organisations currently operate a fully office-based policy, only 23 per cent expect this to remain the case in three years’ time.
AI is becoming a mainstream consideration in enterprise AV, with real-time translation, captioning, transcription and meeting summarisation emerging as the most widely deployed use cases, driving new investment across collaboration platforms and meeting spaces.
