May our digital edition be with you

A few changes are afoot here at Installation. We’re devising better, more digestible methods of delivering the content you need, when you need it. So watch this space (and more importantly your mailboxes).

Onto more pressing matters: we went to press last week and have a fresh digital edition for you to read.

May’s issue has features on Command and Control, in which Ian McMurray discusses, amongst other things, best practice and design challenges that need to be addressed when creating an AV solution for mission critical environments.

Secondly, the Intercoms and Paging piece by David Davies looks at what effect the predicted rise of the all-encompassing media solutions will have on traditional intercoms and paging systems – will they remain standalone or be incorporated into (increasingly) complex systems?

Our third feature is written by Steve Montgomery, who investigates the changing trends in home automation brought about by smart device apps and their effect on the traditional control system market.

Our Installation of the Month for May goes to Jyske Bank, which is located in Silkeborg, Denmark. Here’s a snippet of the article and a video:

Meyer Sound’s Constellation System is being used to improve communication for the different auditorium at a Danish Bank’s HQ. Paddy Baker reports on a project that is running for two InstallAwards next month.
