Vivitek launches new dual lamp projector range

Vivitek has introduced the D6000 series of large venue dual lamp projectors. The range, which is designed to provide presentation solutions for the most demanding of video applications, comprises two heavy-duty projectors – the DW6035 and DX6535.

Both projectors are said to be ideal for conference centres and other large venue applications. The DW6035 features native WXGA resolution and is HDTV ready. It also offers a contrast ratio of 3000:1 and 6000 ANSI lumens of brightness the device can handle demanding presentation applications. The DX6535, on the other hand, has a native XGA resolution with 6700 ANSI lumens of brightness.

Both models are designed to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can deliver high brightness and superb digital images, according to Vivitek. They also feature motorised lens control including zoom, focus and seven interchangeable lens options (T.R. between 0.77 and 8.5:1) for flexible positioning. In addition, the projectors incorporate Texas Instruments DLP BrilliantColor chip technology, which is said will provide crystal-clear pictures, with deep blacks and rich engaging colours.

The projectors provide extensive multimedia I/O connections, including VGA-In, DVI-D, Component, S-Video, Audio-In and Audio-Out. The new D6000 series devices all feature a built-in 12V trigger for an external wireless module connection and are network-ready for integration and system administration via RJ45 and RS232. Energy conscious features of the range include a stand-by mode which needs less than 0.5 watts of power, with lamp life of coming in at 2,500 hours of operation.

“Reliability is important for any projector, especially one that could be integral to a performance in front of hundreds of people,” commented Holger Graeff, general manager EMEA, Vivitek. “These projectors support heavy duty 24/7 operation, with dual-lamp switching technology for minimum downtime.”
