Medium UK’s VC arm moving in-house

Beyondis will now trade under the name of Medium UK, allowing the company to provide "an integrated platform of products".

Beyondis will now trade under the name of Medium UK, allowing the company to provide “an integrated platform of products”. Medium UK acquired Beyondis in the second half of last year, but has now decided to bring this operation in-house as part of its continued drive “to enhance its value added distribution business model”.

Key videoconferencing products in the Medium UK distribution portfolio include LifeSize systems such as Passport (personal or office HD video) and Express Series, Team Series and Room Series (all full HD room products).

In line with this move, Medium UK is embarking on a recruitment campaign to strengthen its video communications offer with a number of external sales people throughout the country.

Medium UK VC division manager Kristian Davies (pictured, right, with MD Ian Sempers) commented: “Videoconferencing is the most vibrant area of AV technology. Medium is offering resellers the ability to enjoy the benefits of videoconferencing. I believe Medium’s ability to supply screens, furniture and complementary products – as well as a video communications team providing technical support and service – puts it in a strong position within the AV market.”

Looking to the future, Sempers told IE: “Medium UK has continued to grow organically year after year despite a very difficult economical climate. Our product range and service wrap-around position us a unique distributor who can support and collaborate with our partners and customers to deliver a shared vision. VC is a key area of focus for us following the acquisition of Beyondis and our plan for the year reflects this. We intend to further strengthen our service proposition and continue to provide a product range representative of growth and opportunity.”
