What ISE means to the manufacturers: Peerless AV + new products revealed

Building towards ISE 2018, we speaks to some of the industry’s leading manufacturers about their experiences of the show, why they keep coming back and what visitors can expect

As we build up towards ISE 2018 in Amsterdam, AVTE speaks to some of the industry’s leading manufacturers about their experiences of the show, why they keep coming back and a preview of what visitors will see

We sat down Melinda Von Horvath, who is vice president of sales and marketing EMEA at Peerless-AV.

Hi Melinda. Tell us why Peerless is attending ISE this year.

ISE has captured the imagination of vendors, installers, resellers and end-users globally. Manufacturers now launch products at ISE as this establishes the roadmap for the entire year, and allows them to present their innovations to the biggest proAV audience in the world. Amsterdam and the RAI have proved to be excellent locations, with good transport links and a wealth of culture to experience.

We are looking to attract a range of prospective businesses from installers to end user organisations

What are the stand out benefits?

We are looking to see new advancements in display technologies from the major manufactures as well as up and coming brands. Their latest advancements have a huge impact on our R&D and we work closely with them to ensure our mounting, kiosk, trolley and stand solutions develop in parallel. We are eager to see new large format integrated touch displays, laser projectors and narrow pixel pitch LED displays.

We proudly design and manufacture the highest quality products, ranging from outdoor displays to complete kiosk solutions, digital signage mounts to wireless systems. Every year Peerless-AV strategically selects the latest, most cutting-edge solutions to showcase to ISE visitors and demonstrate how they help them gain a competitive edge in their installation projects. We look forward to having a successful ISE 2018, with some interesting conversations, new relationships forged and quality leads generated.

How many ISE shows have you and your company attended?

Peerless-AV has attended ISE for over 10 years now and has seen it grow year on year to become the number one show in the AV calendar, not only in Europe but the world, where the entire industry comes together to showcase innovation, network and knowledge share. This year has a particularly impressive mix of associated events that we’ll be attending, including TIDE and DSS. We’ve also grown with the show and in 2017 we expanded to a bigger two-tier stand to accommodate more products and space for meeting customers.

How does ISE compare to other shows around the world that you exhibit at?

Globally, ISE Amsterdam is THE biggest AV show to attend, it has grown so much since my first one in Brussels! In other verticals, on a different scale – after ISE in EMEA – the next most important shows, in our opinion, are Digital Signage Summit Europe in Munich, Integrated Systems Russia and Gitex in the Middle East. Gitex is of a comparable size to ISE but it spans 20+ technology sectors whereas ISE is specifically for the international AV and systems integration industry. Of course, DSE and Infocomm US are also major shows and Peerless-AV as a group attends a huge amount of shows globally, including all many specific channel shows.

Who are you looking to appeal towards at the show?

At ISE, we are looking to attract a range of prospective businesses from installers to end user organisations. Key verticals for us are transportation, corporate, hospitality, education, finance, stadiums and arenas, museums and retail.

ISE has become a major destination for end users. How important is it for you to be able to speak to them directly?

We work hard to make sure we stay on the forefront of all new technologies with supporting products. Staying close to end users to listen and understand their evolving needs is fundamental. It also gives us visibility of where and how our products are being used, and why, and helps strengthen relationships with our distribution partners.

Likewise, how important is it for end users to be able to speak directly to you?

Peerless-AV is renowned for R&D and engineering excellence with a long history of product innovation. End users often come to us with complex and custom requirements and our team of experts work with them and any third parties to design and build the best possible solution for the project.

What can our readers expect to see at your stand and why should they take the time to stop by?

We will be exhibiting a range of brand new product innovations and concepts at ISE 2018, Hall 12, Stand F90. These include:

  • KIPC35XX(-S)-EUK Ultra-Slim Indoor Portrait Kiosks

Supporting the latest 40″-55″ LED displays and interactive touch screen panels up to 88mm (3.5″) deep, the new KIPC3 models have an ultra-slim design, allowing for the ultimate placement flexibility in any indoor application setting. Rear doors with combination locks provide direct access to parts requiring maintenance with no threat of lost keys or unwanted tampering. Two thermostat controlled fans quietly exhaust heat from inside the kiosk and internal micro-adjustments allow for quick positioning of display within the kiosk window for flush alignment. With a flat base that can be free standing or bolted to the ground, the kiosk allows for electric and data cable access, making it easy to install and maintain. A KIPC3555 55″ Indoor Kiosk will be shown for the first time on the Peerless-AV stand at ISE.

  • PJR250 Large Venue Projector Mount

Engineered to speed up and simplify the installation and alignment of heavy, large venue projectors, the new PJR250 has a robust, low-profile, pre-assembled design and supports a maximum weight capacity of 113.4kg. The mount can be ceiling or flush mounted, is UL listed to ensure a safe and confident install and, for a second level of assurance, a safety cable is included. The Hook-and-Hang™ feature allows heavy projectors to be installed easily, and dedicated adaptor plates for all the major heavy-duty projector brands place the centre of gravity in the middle of the mount to reduce sag and simplify adjustments. The tilt (+15/-5°), roll (±5°) and swivel (360°) features are all lockable to prevent even the smallest shift to the image.

  • DS-VW775-QR Supreme Full-Service Video Wall Mount with Quick Release

With the addition of tool-less lateral micro-adjustment, the DS-VW775-QR offers 38mm (1.5″) of fine tune adjustment on each of the X, Y and Z axis. Serviceability is easier than ever before with the gentle force press to release mechanism, providing quick and convenient access to a recessed display. Reusable spacers can be used for both portrait and landscape applications resulting in a faster and lower cost install. 25 percent lighter in comparison to previous Peerless-AV video wall mounts, the DS-VW775-QR is easier for one person to handle and position alone, especially when combined with the easy hang adaptor plate.

Beyond the stand itself, is there anything else you or your company will be doing at ISE?

We’ll be making the most of the various conferences and education sessions running alongside the show such as TIDE and DSS. We will also be attending the InAVation Awards and AV News Awards ceremonies as we have been shortlisted as finalists in the AV Accessory and AV Digital Signage Innovation of the Year categories.

Where can visitors find you?
