InfoComm 2016: Digital Projection reveals budget laser projectors

Digital Projection has announced the launch of two new E-Vision laser projectors at InfoComm. The E-Vision Laser 6500 and 7500 follow on from the 8500 and will be demonstrated on the showfloor in Las Vegas this week.

The latest additions to the E-Vision are designed to save end-users time and budget and allow installers and integrators to deploy the solutions with minimal maintenance required throughout the lifetime of the projectors. Additionally, all E-Vision laser projectors are claimed to deliver nearly unlimited tilt capabilities for greater installation flexibility.

The laser phosphor source enables the projector to operator for up to 20,000 hours and the total cost of ownership is reduced, as there are no lamp replacements necessary.

The two projectors deliver 6,500 and 7,500 lumens and feature capabilities such as DICOM simulation mode, geometry correction and edge blending. The 6500 is able to operate with minimal noise, making it suited for boardrooms and other applications where the projector and audience are close. The superior imaging quality of the 7500 makes it suited to commercial applications where bright and consistent imaging is required.

Both models include DVI, and HDMI inputs and an HDBaseT interface with built-in support for transmission of uncompressed HD video over standard CAT5e/6 LAN cable, with the 7500 also including a Displayport input. In addition, the 6500 and 7500 also contain built-in compatibility with Crestron RoomView Connecte, PJLink – AMX SSDP and LAN.
