Bose Professional has introduced the PowerShare range of power amplifiers and ControlCenter zone controllers at InfoComm.
The new amplifier line consists of three models, the PS602 and PS604, which are two and four channel fixed-install models and the PS602P two channel portable amplifier. Each model delivers 600W of power that can be shared across all output channels.
With support for both low and high-impedance loads up to 100V, PowerShare amplifiers adapt to a wide range of applications. Onboard configurable loudspeaker processing and direct access to zone controllers eliminate the need for an additional signal processor in many installations, while audio performance and reliability are assured with patented technologies inherited from the PowerMatch line.
PowerShare amplifiers employ the Dual Feedback Loop (DFL) system from the Bose PowerMatch amplifier line, improving performance and reliability through continuous monitoring and control of both the current and voltage delivered to each output load. This combination is claimed to provide improved linearity and lower distortion, while providing loudspeaker protection.
“When an integrator is asked to expand a zone beyond the wattage of the amplifier channel, they have to either buy a larger amp, or buy a second amp to accommodate the change. With PowerShare adaptable power amplifiers, all 600W can be used across the outputs, allowing installers the freedom to utilise power where needed,” stated Ashraf Elghamrawi, Bose Professional amplifier product line manager.
The ControlCenter series of zone controllers is a set of remote controls for use with Bose FreeSpace amplifiers, PowerShare amplifiers, and ControlSpace processors. The three models are ControlCenter CC-1, providing volume control; ControlCenter CC-2, offering volume plus A/B source selection; and ControlCenter CC-3, offering volume plus A/B/C/D source selection.
Both new product ranges are expected to be available in July 2016.
