UK-based AV rental specialist Central Presentations Limited (CPL) has boosted its stock of projectors with the addition of the Panasonic PT DZ110 HD.
This, says the company, is to meet the continuing demand for a highly portable, expediently sized HD (1,920 x 1,200) resolution projector around the 10-12,000 lumen mark for the wide variety of shows, events and presentations that CPL services as a rental partner.
Four new projectors have joined the CPL fleet initially, and, according to CPL, like all successful rental items, have yet to see the warehouse shelves!
“Panasonic is a premium brand and the robust build and quality engineering has made it a firm favourite for rental and staging sectors in the last couple of years,” said CPL’s branch manager Richard Burrow (pictured), adding that they can also take advantage of the healthy cross rental and dry hire market, and these are now frequently appearing on spec sheets.
CPL’s PT DZ110s were purchased together with a full range of proprietary lenses, including the short throw 0.9-1.1:1 lens. They are added to CPL’s existing inventory of Sanyo 2,500, 4,000 and 6,500 lumen non-HD projectors and their Barco FLM HD20s. With projection a key medium on virtually all events, whatever the size and complexity, CPL says that its intention is to offer as wide as possible a choice of the latest technology to its clients. Further purchases to widen the Panasonic range stock are planned for the near future.
Another reason for choosing Panasonic, noted Burrow, is the brilliant back up and support from the UK-based service centre in Cardiff plus the company’s reputation for listening to client feedback, taking it onboard and incorporating requests and suggestions from those in the rental market ‘front line’ into future product R&D.
The purchase follows CPL’s recent investment in the latest Sony HXC-100 HD/SD studio spec cameras, reflecting what the company describes as a buoyant start to 2011.
