Audio-Technica launches flagship headphones and phono cartridge series

Company debuts TH-ADX7000 True Open-Air headphones, alongside first major phono cartridge update in over a decade – the AT33x series – at Paris Audio Video Show, October 24-26, 2025

Audio-Technica will unveil two major new products at the Paris Audio Video Show, running October 24-26, 2025: the ATH-ADX7000 True Open-Air headphones, the new flagship model in the ADX line, and the AT33x phono cartridge series, marking the company’s first significant cartridge update in over ten years. The ATH-ADX7000 features an open design to minimise internal pressure and resonance, while the AT33x lineup introduces advanced materials and a redesigned suspension for enhanced audio performance.

Audio-Technica’s ATH-ADX7000 headphones are handcrafted in Japan and showcase the brand’s High-Concentricity X (Transfer) Dynamic Transducer (HXDT) technology. This involves precise alignment of the diaphragm, baffle plate, magnet, and voice coil within a ±0.02mm tolerance – nearly ten times more accurate than conventional designs, the company says.

Audio-Technica says the headphones’ True Open-Air Audio design allows air to move freely through the housing, reducing internal pressure and resonance for a more natural listening experience. With a 490-ohm impedance voice coil, the ATH-ADX7000 balances power and clarity, housed in lightweight honeycomb aluminum with a magnesium die-cast frame.

Two earpad options – velvet and Alcantara – are included, along with premium accessories such as balanced XLR and unbalanced cables featuring Neutrik and gold-tipped A2DC connectors. A compact storage case completes the package.

Alongside the ATH-ADX7000, Audio-Technica is launching its AT33x phono cartridge series, the company’s first major update to its phono cartridge lineup in over a decade. The five-model series incorporates new materials such as die-cast zinc and features a redesigned suspension system to improve tracking and sound fidelity.

Both products will be available worldwide starting October 23, 2025.
