Guntermann & Drunck undertakes strategic realignment of management team

After around 15 years as managing director, Roland Ollek hands over the position as CEO to Thorsten Lipp. Uwe Milde, previously head of development, is also appointed to the management board as CTO alongside CFO Nils Strauch

Guntermann & Drunck GmbH (G&D) has realigned its executive management team. CEO Roland Ollek left the company on July 31, with Thorsten Lipp (pictured left), who previously held the position of managing director Europe for Leyard Europe, taking over the responsibilities as of August 1.

Lipp’s focus will be on further strengthening G&D’s position as market leader and developing new business opportunities. With his experience and his expertise in the AV field, he will be responsible for the company’s sales and market side operations. Finance and controlling will remain in the management of Nils Strauch who has been with the manufacturer on the management board for six years. As a technological expert, Uwe Milde complements the management team and will lead all product and development side operations. With his extensive knowledge and close ties to the company for more than two decades, he will continue to drive the technology leader forward.

With the new trio in management, the core competencies will be assigned, and a team will be formed to align the company for an optimal growth course. “I am looking forward to joining the management team and developing G&D further, marketing the company’s high-end solutions even more effectively and continue the internationalisation,” said Lipp. “Roland Ollek leaves behind a solid foundation for future success that we can build on together with new ideas and perspectives.”
