DAS Audio of America has announced the addition of Burton Ishmael as senior market development manager, pro audio. In his new role, Ishmael will focus on expanding DAS Audio’s reach within the professional sound market, supporting customers, partners, and engineers for the new flagship line of speakers, the ARA Series.
The company says Ishmael’s transition into this official role represents a natural evolution of a relationship that spans nearly two decades.
He said: “I have watched this company grow over the years and have seen firsthand the level of care, consistency, and innovation they bring to the table. From the people to the products, DAS has always been about delivering performance with heart. I’m proud to represent a brand I truly believe in.”
Burton Ishmael boasts front-of-house engineering credits for Madonna, Post Malone, NAS, HER, Bryson Tiller, and G-Eazy, along with current work on NBC’s flagship shows, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Saturday Night Live. He has also built a business serving the house of worship market and spent years leading sound system design and integration projects around the country.
Ishmael’s connection with DAS Audio began in the mid-2000s when he first incorporated the brand’s products into his rental inventory. The company believes this hands-on experience makes him well-positioned to take the role on.
Jaime Villegas, general manager of DAS Audio of America, added: “Burton has been a longtime supporter of the brand, and his belief in the ARA Series and what it represents, power, precision, and forward-thinking design, means everything to usHaving someone of his caliber and passion championing our newest generation of products makes this incredibly special.”
