Women in Consumer Technology (WiCT), an organisation promoting the advancement of women in the consumer technology industry, today announced that Cris Pyle, vice president of marketing and industry relations at CEDIA, is now serving on WiCT’s advisory board.
“The women who serve on our advisory board are great representatives of this industry, working to encourage, support, and attract more women to our industry and bring them new opportunities for success,” said Carol Campbell, founder of Women in Consumer Technology. “To have Cris serve with us and share her many years of experience, leadership, and insight will be an invaluable addition to our organisation and help further achieve our vision of empowering women in the technology field.”
At CEDIA, Pyle is responsible for the marketing strategy, branding and visual identity, public relations, and industry outreach efforts. She also leads some of the key output areas for CEDIA’s three-year strategy, including new initiatives targeted at driving awareness among architects, builders, and interior designers. She joined the CEDIA team in August of 2015, but she is no stranger to the industry, having spent over 10 years in progressive marketing roles at Klipsch. Prior to joining CEDIA, she was the senior director of marketing and product development at Gilchrist and Soames, a manufacturer of luxury hotel toiletry products.
