The Sniper is a new type of hybrid multi-effect lighting fixture and laser simulator that can be used to create stunning light shows and laser effects without the hassle of laser regulations.
It emits a powerful, precise and ultra-narrow (3°) beam, with a high-speed X/Y scanner, and Z rotation mirror system that allows it to spread laser-like effects including liquid sky, laser wave, and laser cone effects, all moving at high speed, that can safely be projected into the crowd. Effects include: three-facet rotating prism; strobe; electronic dimmer; and multiple pattern macros.
The Sniper is powered by the new 132W Philips MSD Platinum 2R lamp, with a 6,000 hour average life. It can deliver an intense 45,010 lux @ 5m and gives designers houses 14 dichroic colours and 17 static gobos to choose from. It can be used as a high-energy effect light for clubs and other venues and can liven up any stage for tours and special events.
It has three DMX channel modes (14 / 16 / 18 / 20), a four-button control panel, 5-pin DMX I/O and PowerCON I/O, and weighs 9.5kg.
