Tempest introduces projector enclosures for rental & staging

Tempest has introduced its first product purpose-designed for the AV rental and staging market, the Verdigo 7500.

The first of a series of new products for this sector, the Verdigo 7500 Series is designed to protect projectors, using Tempest’s Digital Enclosure Control (DEC) system and patented Goldilocks operating system to guarantee an optimum operating environment. The enclosure’s hydrophobic and oleophobic filters are designed to keep out oil, smoke, salt air and other pollutants, as well as protect the projector from dust and sand particle ingress.

“Verdigo is built for the road,” said Tim Burnham, president of Tempest. “We’ve developed this new product in partnership with leading rental houses to make sure it meets the demanding requirements of repeated use and provides a protected, environmentally controlled and easy to install enclosure for projectors. It’s much better than using tarps and scaffold and will keep expensive projectors secure and protected during use at indoor and outdoor events.

It will also help AV companies maximise their return by minimising cleaning and downtime between rentals.”

Verdigo features a stainless steel frame and lightweight aluminium panels to ensure optimum strength and weight. Stainless steel stacking studs and locking clamps allow secure stacking, up to four units high. Tempest’s

Verdigo incorporates two rows of threaded inserts in the top which align with standard truss widths for simple rigging, using standard hardware.

Projector alignment is said to be made easy with large, easily accessible pan, tilt and roll adjustment, and the whole projector mount flips up or down to enable simple access and adjustment for tabletop or ceiling-mount lens shift.

Verdigo models are compatible with Panasonic PT-DZ21, Christie M-Series and Roadster, and Barco HDX and HDF projectors. Verdigo can also be customised to suit any projector and any rental operation.
