Having made its public debut as a company only last month, Future Ready Solutions is at ISE 2015 with a range of connectivity products for residential and commercial custom installers focused, says founder Eric Bodley – a past president of CEDIA – on preparing the technology sector for the future of delivering digital signals.
Bodley says that his company’s mission is to help the custom electronics industry “Connect with the Best” through cables, connectors and accessories from Kordz, Perfect Path, Celerity Technologies, PPC, and Belden Snap-N-Seal.
The distributor’s first news of 2015 is the addition of Kordz commercial-grade HDMI cables to its offering, including the new line of THX Certified 4K UHD Cables.
The R.3 Rack Optimised HDMI cable for commercial applications and EVS-R HDMI cable for residential customers are Kordz’ first two products to be THX certified.
Building on HDMI compliance, the THX programme uses 75 rigorous tests to ensure that cables fully support the long-term demands of 4K and HDMI 2.0. In order to ensure performance, the THX programme tests mechanical aspects of cables, build quality, and comprehensive protocol and functional testing in addition to traditional electrical testing.
THX recognised the need for 4K interconnect certification when testing 4K displays in its laboratory. Cables that had performed satisfactory at HD bandwidth requirements began demonstrating flaws at 4K bandwidth.
