The new Big Frame permanent rigid frame screen for large venues is on show at the ScreenLine stand. Designed for applications such as cinemas, museums and auditoria (and also capable of being deployed outdoors) it is available in the most popular aspect ratios: 4:3, 16:10, 16:9 and 2.35:1 plus bespoke. The frame is constructed from 100% aluminium, while the projection fabric itself is described as 100% flexible and weldable PVC leaf. The maximum size of the screen is 1,000cm, and available fabrics include diamond, perforated sound transferring, grey high contrast and Ambra rear projection.
According to Screenline, the new Big Frame benefits from several unique features. First among these is that the fabric is fixed to the frame with what the company describes as an innovative system − without buttons or pins − which sees it attached to a groove in the frame.
Another feature is that installers can elect to fix the fabric as a standard frame screen (with all-round perimetral black masking) or (with larger fabric) to go around the frame structure in order to get a full-white screen surface.
The new Big Frame can be fixed onto walls, stand on the floor or be hung from the ceiling, thanks to its structure, and multiple screens can be attached together in order to obtain projection paths such as those that are often seen in museums.
