LED video fixtures for rental market

New products are being showcased by Harman at ISE 2015. These include the VDO Sceptron family which features linear outdoor-rated LED video fixtures for the rental market with 10/20/40mm pixel pitch and an extensive range of optical accessories for a wide variety of looks.

The integrated power and data cabling allows for long daisy-chains with many fixtures per cable-run, while the power supply can be located backstage (up to 50m away) for a clean set-up avoiding messy cabling and several driver boxes.

It delivers 600 lumens/200 candela per linear metre, is P3/DMX controllable (automatic protocol detection), uses a single cable for power and data input and is supported by an integrated power and data processor (P3 PowerPort 1500 or P3 PowerPort 1000 IP).

The VDO Sceptron family is available in lengths of 1,000mm and 320mm.

The new M-Series family console is said to combine and accommodate both basic shows and professional applications. Harman says that it offers easy control through 20 velocity-sensitive buttons and 14 touch-sensitive linear faders for accurate playback level control, as well as direct access to programming and other function buttons.

According to Harman, the Martin M-Touch is a powerful yet simple control surface for the Martin M-Series controllers, which it claims are the most affordable professional lighting solutions on the market. Fully compatible with all M-Series consoles and M-PC software, the Martin M-Touch is a plug-and-play solution and comes with one DMX 512 Universe for direct control of any compatible DMX device.
