ISE Show Floor Theatres: conceptualised, designed and managed by Improve

The three ISE Show Floor Theatres provide each year a stimulating visual counterpoint to the various exhibitors’ booths that surround them on the show floor. They are the work of ISE partner, Improve.

Improve is a Dutch event design and production company and the official ISE Show Floor Theatre’s content and production partner. At ISE Improve designs, equips and builds the theatres. It also manages the collation and production of the content during the four show days.

Improve founder Antoinette Wijffels commented: “Improve’s primary objective is that the audience not only listen to the talks, but also ‘experiences’ them. We work extremely closely with the speakers to create presentations and ambiences that touch both the heart and mind.”

The overriding concept is that the theatres should offer an attractive and inviting space and are also a continuous flow of inspiration and information. For visitors to ISE the theatres are great places to re-energise, to meet colleagues or to simply enjoy the presentations.

For ISE 2018 Improve has designed three theatres, each carefully chosen to enhance the delivery of the content being presented:

AVIXA Commercial Solutions Theatre sponsored by Crestron. Hall 8

Here, large curved segments will drop down to create an intimate sphere-like space. Visitors will be encouraged to wonder what is going on in this ‘magical’ globe. Inside they will experience the ‘magic’ of innovative commercial solutions delivered by up to 15 speakers each day. The images and video shown on the large screen will spread out as ambient light over the theatre walls. The intention is that story embraces the audience and the messages are communicated with increased power.

AVIXA Unified Communications Solutions Theatre sponsored by Crestron. Hall 11

The concept behind this theatre, said Improve, is to convey the sense that ‘we are all part of the whole; everything is connected to everything, even to nature’. From the ceiling large screens with leaves, taken from trees and shrubs, will drop will down to create an intimate, naturalistic space. A large circular screen will work as a ‘viewport’ to the world of unified communications.

CEDIA Smart Building Solutions Theatre sponsored by KNX. Hall 9

This is an intimate theatre with a warm, wooden floor dedicated to smart building solutions.

Large banners with complex patterns will create a space of beauty and reflect the versatility of the solutions offered by the associated partners.
