ISE announces event and seminar programmes for 2016

Following the announcement that ISE 2016 will include a fourth day, further details have been announced regarding the expanded show format including a number of pre-show and at-show events and a comprehensive seminar programme.

Prior to the Opening Panel Discussion and Opening Reception on Monday 8 February, visitors can attend the Audio Forum or the Smart Building Conference.

The Opening Panel Discussion will be held at the Amsterdam RAI, in the FORUM, before the ISE Opening Reception. The Audio Forum, presented by Connessioni, is a full-day event and will include seminars hosted by qualified audio professionals. The theme for this year is ‘Theories, Technologies, Legends and Myths’ about audio’, and the keynote speaker is Donato Masci, an acoustic designer and consultant from Studio Sound Service in Italy.

The Smart Building Conference is also on 8 February and the theme for this year is ‘The Network is the Building’. It will include a full-day’s programme with speakers from across the smart building industry, chaired by Bob Snyder, editor in chief of Channel Media Europe.

The Smart Building Conference programme will explore how the IP backbone changes the way we work, the way we live and the new services now possible in today’s buildings. Topics to be covered include: building and home control; wayfinding; cabling buildings for the future; the impact of mobile; multi-dwelling units; the Internet of Things and Audio over IP.

It will also provide delegates with the opportunity to learn about the latest in smart building technology and its application and to also provide ample opportunity to network with leading Smart Building technology manufacturers; designers; consultants and suppliers.

During the show the second annual ISE Capital Summit will take place on 11 February. It will bring together AV and IT industry entrepreneurs and executives with financial professionals and business experts from the world of investments, mergers, and acquisitions. The event will include a discussion co-moderated by John Bowen of MediaBridge Capital Advisors and John Stiernberg of Stiernberg Consulting, featuring leading European financial experts, equity funds and strategic investors. Neil MacTaggart of Media Asset Capital is the returning panellist for the event.

The Sport Venue Integration Summit will also be held on 11 February. SVG Europe, in conjunction with RH Consulting, will explore a day in the life of the contemporary connected stadium. Topics to be covered include new approaches to fan engagement, AV/IT integration, event preparation and temporary overlay.
