MediaStar Evolution, Cabletime’s flagship IPTV distribution product, is getting a major update, including brand new hardware and intelligent, auto-adaptive and playout of any live video stream.
The heart of MediaStar Evolution is Cabletime’s Media Manager, for scheduling, control and monitoring every part of an IPTV distribution network. Its latest version 7.0 includes: full LDAP integration; a comprehensive local administrator (allowing global sub-administrator rights); and a video capture application to record video streams either instantly or time scheduled. Recorded stream files are automatically ingested to the MediaStar iVODserver.
The system’s compact Multi-Format Encoder (785-I) now features full 3G 1080p HD-SDI input. The encoder auto selects the incoming video source from any input, these include dual HDMI, S-Video, CVBS and YPbPr. The 785 also features Power over Ethernet, so no PSU is required when connected to PoE switches.
The MediaStar range provides TV/AV and multimedia distribution products primarily for medium to large enterprises, which require future-proof, stable and proven systems for a number of uses.
