Elicium provides canvas for projection mapping spectacular

Each evening during the week of ISE 2020, the top floors of RAI's Elicium complex will be transformed by specially curated content

Following on from the projection mapping installations in 2018 and 2019 at the Amsterdam EYE Museum and nhow Amsterdam RAI hotel respectively, the RAI’s Elicium complex is the scene for the 2020 edition.

Each evening during the week of ISE 2020, the top floors of the nine-storey building at the front of the RAI Convention Centre will be transformed by specially curated content. The projection will start at 17:00 each day, except for 16:00 on Friday, and run until 22:00.

Content will be mapped to the shape of the front façade, seen by large numbers of people passing the RAI on foot, in cars or trams, or using the Europaplein Metro station just outside the RAI exhibition centre.

The projection is produced by ISE and the RAI, working in conjunction with seven event partners. LANG AG, a leading AV rental company that is a long-time supporter of ISE, will supply the projectors, which will beam content from Green Hippo media servers. Augmenting the projected images will be white laser mapping from HB Laserkomponenten, and illumination from an Ares XS LED Wash from CLF lighting on the upper storeys. It won’t just be a visual experience, however – there will be a compelling audio track, brought to the audience’s ears via amplifiers and speakers from Biamp. The content will be created by Tenfeet, a specialist in lighting technology and show production, while Indyvideo will provide containers for the projectors and operators, as well as technical production support. Attendees are assured an exciting spectacle that is also an excellent showcase for key ISE technologies!
