DPA mini-mics have the invisible touch

ISE 2019 will witness the introduction by DPA of its smallest ever high-end pro-audio microphone capsule, which is incorporated into the d:screet CORE 6060 and 6061 Subminiature Microphones and the d:fine CORE 6066 Subminiature Headset Microphone.

Designed to be unobtrusive, 6000 series microphones can be fitted to talent’s clothes in the form of virtually invisible lavaliers or worn as a headset that is comfortable, secure and suitable for self-attachment by even the most inexperienced presenter or performer.

Measuring in at three 3mm in diameter, these capsules benefit from Core by DPA microphone amplification technology that reduces distortion and increases dynamic range.

With the 6000 series, DPA has not only reduced the size of its microphone capsules but also introduced an innovative lightweight, ‘one size fits all’ headset that attaches over the ears for maximum comfort. It has a three-point spring mechanism to help it grip below the ears and to the side of the head for added security and comes with a fully adjustable boom and a redesigned cable attachment that allows the cable to run down the wearer’s back so it can’t be seen.

For the d:screet 6060 and 6061 lavalier microphones, DPA has introduced an eight-way clip that rotates 360° chosen in 45° incremental steps. Offering fast and secure mounting, this clip makes it easy to change the mics from shirts for women to those for men (left- to right-buttoned) or attach the lavalier to T-shirts and similar where the neckline is used.
