A highlight of the pre-show programme at ISE this year is the AudioForum, a full-day educational event, presented by Connessioni in cooperation with AES, that combines presentations, training sessions and discussions.
The event will be held on Monday 8 February in RAI Amsterdam, running from 10:00 to 17:00 in room G001-002. It is pitched to consultants, sound designers, system integrators, installers, and anyone interested in knowing more about the latest audio technologies.
The theme of AudioForum is ‘Theories, Technologies, Legends, and Myths’ about audio, and provides the opportunity for speakers and experts to discuss current trends in audio.
The Forum will cover a number of topics including loudspeakers, components and systems; FIR and IIR filters; how to read and interpret datasheets; and some updates about digital transportation protocols.
The keynote speaker for the event is Donato Masci, an acoustic designer and consultant at the Studio Sound Service in Florence. There will also be a range of other speakers including pro audio designer Guido Diamanti, and several other experts from the audio field provided by the event partner, AES.
AudioForum is an international event, now in its ninth edition, with 2016 the third time it has been held at ISE, with other appearances in Milan (during SIEC in 2013, 2014 and 2015), Mumbai (InfoComm India 2014 and 2015), and Beijing (InfoComm China 2015).
