Colour-in cloud-based sound blockers from Primacoustic

Paintables Clouds, a new series of customisable high performance acoustic panels, are on show.

Paintables Clouds are a sound abatement solution for any space where communication is vital and acoustic treatment must integrate with the aesthetics of the room. The range includes the circular Cirrus, the hexagonal Hexus and the square Altos, available in 36in and 48in diameters. Each panel is made from 1.5in thick high-density 6lb glass wool for even absorption and features resin hardened edges with micromesh to prevent dust.

Paintables are factory painted on all sides in Absolute White latex and ready for mounting. Unique to the design is a proprietary surface that enables installers to lightly spray-paint the panels on site to colour match the decor without affecting the acoustical performance.

A selection of hanging hardware allows the Paintable Clouds to be suspended horizontally or vertically from the ceiling. They have been independently tested for acoustic performance and fire-tested to achieve class-A ratings. Jay Porter, product specialist at Primacoustic, said: “The series features three different shapes of absorptive acoustic panels that can be used as ceiling clouds, baffles or wall panels to reduce excess reverberation and improve intelligibility. The unique shapes and sizes open the door for architects, designers and installers with creative solutions that are bold, yet architecturally pleasing.” Primacoustic is exhibiting in Hall 7 with other divisions of Radial Engineering.
