Channel Media’s Bob Snyder to host M2D Networking Event

ISE 2017 is hosting an event specifically designed to link manufacturers searching for new distributors and vice versa. The M2D Networking Event, sponsored by Avenview, will take place at the Café Amsterdam from 15:00 (Hall 14) on the final day of the show.

New for this year is the appointment of Bob Snyder as Meeting Chairman. Bob Snyder is known to distributors in IT as well as AV, through his role as a founder of a number of events for IT distributors. He is the Founder, Editor-In-Chief and Publisher of Channel Media Europe, digital market intelligence and media service.

At the reception manufacturers hoping to expand into new territories or adapt their approach to an existing market will have the opportunity to communicate their needs and connect with potential distributors. Likewise, distributors looking to grow their product portfolio and distributed brands can hook up with relevant manufacturers.

Snyder’s role will be to facilitate this ISE event, encouraging distributors to get involved and encouraging state-of-the-art manufacturers to meet directly with the distribution industry.

“This event is a great way for executives to meet one another,” noted Snyder. “I am taking a personal interest in getting the most important distribution companies to attend. It’s a way for executives to meet state-of-the-art manufacturers. And it’s also an opportunity for them to chat with one another.”

According to Snyder, larger distributors benefit from M2D but so do smaller, niche distributors.

“EMEA is such a rich and diverse distribution landscape, it’s often hard for new-to-market vendors to meet the right companies at the right level to get attention,” he added.

“EMEA is also a very large marketplace, with nearly 70 markets. Many companies never have the time to properly fill out their distribution in the smaller markets. I think this is an opportunity for distributors who feel they are in out-of-the-way markets or that they don’t get enough attention and respect for their efforts.”

“As a facilitator, I am hoping to be the uniting force that just makes a great idea for an event go smoother and fulfil everybody’s needs to make contacts and do business.”

If you, as a manufacturer or distributor, would like to take part simply turn up on the day. Registration is not required. Manufacturers can update their entry on the M2D portal right up to the day before the show opens. This service is free to all ISE exhibitors.

On entry, M2D Networking Event guests will be given identification with D (for distributor) or M (for manufacturer) on it and in different colours. The stickers can also be used to get a complimentary drink.

M2D is provided by ISE as an annual service for exhibitors and attendees. Fixed screed displays situated in the Business Lounge; Entrance K and the Ruby Lounge near the Forum will display details of manufacturers looking for new and additional distributors of their products and services.

The M2D Networking Reception will take place on Friday, 10 February from 15:00, Café Amsterdam.
