Using the same design cues as its switches, with finishes including aluminium, bronze and brass, Belgian smart home company Basalte has launched a range of sockets. Inserts can be white or black. A range of configurations is available, with 1, 2 and 3-gang versions that host type E/F sockets, as well as USB, RJ45 and coax outlets.
Also on show on the Basalte stand is the Deseo intelligent thermostat, although it also has much of the functionality that might be expected from a room controller. Lights, scenes and shades, and even the multi-room audio system can be controlled via the touch panel. The top-level menu displays Deseo’s main capabilities, with sub-menus for individual elements. For smaller rooms, where only a few functions are integrated, Deseo also offers a simplified menu structure in which individual elements are displayed in one horizontal line.
Basalte is also demonstrating Asano, its multi-room audio system. Asano is designed for KNX home automation systems and developed to fit the needs of projects all over the world. It is said to offer excellent sound quality in a comprehensive, flexible and reliable audio solution that will support a virtually unlimited number of rooms.
