The installation – which was carried out by Italtecnica Snc Rubano (PD) – also includes Yamaha Installation Series loudspeakers (eight IF2205s, four IF2112M/64s and two IS1118s) and four CM12V Concert Club VC Series wedge monitors. Amplification is also by Yamaha – specifically, three XP7000s, two XP2500s and two XM4180 power amps – while a CDX397Mk11-BR CD player and DVDS663-BR DVD player complete the set-up.
The system enables the auditorium to cope with its dual-purpose as a cinema and venue for corporate presentations.
Sandro Chinellato, commercial audio application engineer at Yamaha Musica Italia, commented: “The interior layout of the auditorium is ideal for presentations and media briefings, as all seats have a perfect view of the stage. However, the octagonal shape and large balcony mean that very accurate alignment of the speakers was required to obtain the necessary intelligibility. The DME24N takes care of time-alignment to ensure that the audio is crystal clear throughout the venue. It also performs the required EQ and feedback suppression functions.”
Following on from what can perhaps be best described as an ‘eventful’ G20 event in London earlier this month, the G8 summit is scheduled to take place from 8-10 July.
