Loudspeaker brand PSB – whose products are distributed in the UK by Armour Home – has launched the CS1000 ‘universal’ speaker for outdoor and commercial applications.
Domestic patios and decks, retail stores and restaurants are among the scenarios envisaged for the deployment of the CS1000, which is the latest addition to PSB’s CustomSound Series.
The durable build of the new model features a thick-walled UV-resistant polypropylene cabinet, an aluminium grille and rustproof terminals, with a rubber cover for protection from the elements. Meanwhile, a fully adjustable, dual-rotational bracket system allows for multiple mounting options, enabling the CS1000 to be mounted vertically/horizontally and rotated up to 90 degrees on one axis and 170 degrees on the other axis.
The speaker’s two-way system includes a 165mm woofer with a clay/ceramic injection-filled polypropylene cone and rubber surround, which complements a 25mm titanium dome tweeter to deliver full-range music reproduction.
Additional features include extensive internal ribbing for extra stiffness, a front-facing port with a rubber port plug, a wire management system, a paintable enclosure and grille, and five-way, gold-plated binding posts.
Measuring 235 x 310 x 294mm (W x H x D), the speaker is available now in black or white paintable finishes.
