The specification installed by ProAktiv Systems – which has distribution rights for brands including Mackie, EAW and Powersoft – comprised eight units of Mackie HR-624MK2 Studio Monitor speakers, supported by two units of SWA 1501Z Subs.
Chandan Mahtani, managing director of ProAktiv Systems, commented: “Understanding that Harry’s wanted its patrons to truly enjoy the screening of sports programmes, we decided to use the Mackie Studio monitor speakers as they project great sound, especially the mid-range as it is crystal clear, which is especially vital for hearing the sports commentators. The Subs that we installed provide patrons with a stadium-like effect and make any sports shown come alive.”
The installation is a timely one, given that the next few months are set to see a diverse array of major sporting events, including the 2008 UEFA European Football Championship at the end of this month and the Olympic Games in August. Rather closer to home, the final weekend of September will herald the staging of the Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix – the first event of its kind to take place in Singapore.
