A waterproof TV was installed as part of a technological overhaul initiated by the Hertfordshire property’s ‘gadget-loving’ owners, writes David Davies. The couple enlisted the help of home technology installation/supply company ClearSphere, which installed an Aquavision 19in S4 waterproof TV.
Available in three finishes (polar white, black and MirrorVision), the 19in S4 models feature RS232 control, integrated Freeview (terrestrial digital) and analogue tuners, a component video, Sky Link, S-Video and analogue PC input, an HDMI input, full SCART connection and built-in games. The screens accept both industry standard HD video formats (1080i and 720p).
“Aquavision’s range of bathroom TVs are a firm favourite,” commented ClearSphere director Alistair Ingram. “They are reliable, easy to install and really add a wow factor to any bathroom. Our clients love being able to catch up on their favourite programmes while relaxing in the bath!”
Richard Henton, general manager of Aquavision, told IE Residential: “Aquavision is the leading supplier of waterproof bathroom televisions to the UK residential installation market, and this has been achieved by working closely with the custom install industry to ensure that our products have the features required for that market.
To back up our commitment to the residential installation market, Aquavision will continue to launch new products with innovative features, creating an increasing range of applications for our products throughout the home. Currently no other supplier can match our product range for choice of screen sizes (10.4in to 46in) or range of features and options. The product launches we have planned for 2010 will further increase our lead on the competitors and our sales into the UK residential market.”
In addition to the Aquavision TV, ClearSphere also equipped the bathroom with intelligent lighting equipment and a single in-ceiling stereo speaker.
