Lighthouse pulling in the shoppers at Hungarian retail complex

Supplied by locally based AV Control after a competitive tender process, two Lighthouse screens have been installed at the Allee Shopping Centre in Budapest.

Supplied by locally based AV Control after a competitive tender process, two Lighthouse screens have been installed at the Allee Shopping Centre in Budapest. Providing 47,000sqm of retail space, the new complex opened late last year and is already regarded as one of Budapest’s most attractive shopping destinations.

The Lighthouse technology deployed by AV Control comprises an exterior screen of 4 x 4 panels (6.4 x 4.8m) of Lighthouse P12-ER panels, along with an internal screen consisting of 8 x 6 panels (5.12 x 2.88m) of P10-FA. Showing a blend of advertising and RSS-fed news content, the screens are controlled by a Crestron Control System via Lighthouse LIP-DX units, with content management provided by Navori Tycoon software.

A long-time Lighthouse user who praises the “excellent” image quality delivered by Lighthouse screens, AV Control’s Barna Balázs remarked of the project: “With the control room being around 300m from the exterior screen and 250m from internal screen, we have used optical fibre-SDI signal converters and they have worked extremely well. Despite a very tough winter, with a lot of rain, snow and ice, the exterior screen stood up very well to the adverse conditions.

“Our client has been 100% happy with the performance of both Lighthouse screens. They are acknowledged as being currently the best advertising screens in Hungary.”
