ISE 2013: DynaScan launches high brightness displays

The new range comprises a 55in, super-narrow bezel, LCD display, a 72in IPS LCD display and a large-scale, display solution designed for outdoor enclosures.

Three new high-brightness professional displays are launching from DynaScan at ISE 2013, which brings the company’s portfolio of high-brightness displays to nine different models in various sizes, brightness levels and form factors.

The DS55LX3 is a 55in, super-narrow bezel, high-brightness LCD for tiled videowall applications. This model, with a bezel of just 5.3mm screen to screen, features a Full HD 55in IPS LCD with a high-brightness backlight producing a 1500-nit image. Each screen comes individually colour calibrated for quality and uniformity.

It includes DynaScan’s latest generation direct LED backlight with local dimming technology. The company explains it has developed a new method of backlighting which produces an evenly illuminated image and greatly reduces hotspots. It offers built-in video daisy chaining meaning a single 1080p source can be used on videowalls up to 6×6 in size without the need for any additional external videowall controller.

The DS72LT6 is the largest professional LCD offering from the company, measuring 72in diagonally. The display features a Full HD 72in IPS LCD with an ultra-high brightness backlight producing a 5000 nit sunlight viewable image. The DS72LT6 has been designed for large-scale display applications in bright environments such as outdoor enclosures and storefront windows. A narrow 30mm bezel makes this model suitable for either single display or videowall applications.

DynaScan has also introduced a 2500-nit version, the DS72LT4, featuring a fan-less thermal management system. Heat generated by the display is radiated away from high temperature areas without the use of any fans for silent operation.
