Ballast supplier and lighting control specialist Helvar has announced details of a series of compact and versatile LED drivers that are designed to enable sustainable and future-proofed lighting solutions. The first in a line of LED product developments expected from the Finnish manufacturer this year, Helvar’s new constant current converters (LL-U-CC) provide power to LED applications with a high level of efficiency (>0.8).
Applications for the new LED drivers include lobbies, corridors and entrances using LED downlighters, as well as spotlighting in the retail sector and emergency lighting.
The driver’s dual current output (350m/A /700mA) and universal power supply enables suitability for different applications and geographical areas. The LED products combine with Helvar’s system solutions to provide easy switching control via relay control units and simple-to-use Helvar button panels and TouchPanel applications.
Peter van der Kolk, manager business development at Helvar, commented: “As well as the operational benefits of a reduced power consumption and thermal stress, alongside dual current output capability, installation and reconfiguration is made simpler, with the incorporation of a fast-fit spring-clip connector.”
