Located in Warsaw’s Zlote Tarasy (Gold Terraces), the 500-seater venue opened its doors to the public for the first time on 10 March. On the bill was an act code-named ‘Super Group’, consisting of some of Poland’s top rock musicians who had got together to mark the occasion in style – and give the new sound system its baptism of fire.
Electro-Voice’s Polish partner, Audio Plus, was responsible for the installation, which was complex. It was necessary to tailor the design very carefully to the topography of the location by defining seven separate sound reinforcement zones, each of which is controlled separately. The Audio Plus team installed a NetMax N8000 (as the main processor) and the IrisNet software platform on the club laptop for all the devices and systems that are controlled remotely.
The installation also made use of Square One graphic equalizers and dynamic processors from Klark Teknik, and a MIDAS Venice console – not to mention an assortment of Electro-Voice microphones.
“We received the highest praise,” said Fabian Ukleja Audio Plus, “not only from the club’s management but also from the musicians. The managers are delighted with the reliability, the sound performance and the ease-of-use of the system we installed. They can’t get over the fact that the whole thing can be controlled from one notebook!”
Since the opening night, the venue has played host to guest performances by acts such as Fishbone and the Monday Rebels.
