Creative production agency Lodestar worked with leading car brand to create the Nissan Innovation Station at the O2 Arena in London.

Encouraging interaction through a variety of innovative features, the Innovation Station includes an A/V infrastructure created by Feltech Electronics, which provided full multimedia with audio and voice evacuation over Cat5. All media feeds are transported over DVI.

Having passed the LED signage in the main concourse, visitors enter an indo blue entrance area where they are immersed in a digital ‘cornfield’ complemented by a GestureTek interactive floor and wall (as distributed in the UK by Paradigm AV), which was specified by the project’s software developer, Kin Design. The giant 7020mm x 2700m interactive dual projection backdrop – soft-edge blended and running GestureTek Dazzler software – is addressed by a pair of Panasonic PT-D6000 projectors with semi short throw lens. Firing directly onto the interactive floor and running Flash content is a Panasonic PT-D5000 with short throw lens.

Moving beyond the Junge of Opinion and further into the exhibition, visitors encounter GestueTek AirPoint touchless interactive displays that create a tracking area out of thin air and instantly detect the user’s finger when gesturing above for point to click interactivity. Two 40” SAX3D HOP holographic screens – supplied by Paradigm AV – display the images in 4:3 aspect ratio, while the motion sensing interface relies upon an NEC WT610.
