Finnish M/S Viking Grace ship awaits Allen & Heath iLive

An Allen & Heath iLive system is primed and ready to be installed on the M/S Viking Grace - Finland-based Viking Line's new addition to its fleet.

An Allen & Heath iLive mixing system will be installed in Finland-based Viking Line Abp’s newest ship, the M/S Viking Grace. Several of the company’s other ships also have iLive systems and, according to the company, have operated without any problem under constant and heavy use – approximately 18 hours per day, seven days per week, all year. Allen & Heath’s Finnish distributor Noretron Audio will install iLive-T112 and iLive-T80 control surfaces with iDR-48 and iDR-16 mix racks equipped with Dante network option cards, and atotal of seven MixWizard WZ316:2 rackmount mixers, in the ship’s night club, and several restaurants and conference rooms. The ship is being built in Turku, at a shipyard run by STX Finland Oy and will start operating in January 2013 between Finland and Sweden. Viking Grace will be the first large-scale cruise ship in the world to use LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) for its energy source.
