DIS continues to enjoy success in the Middle East

Following recent installations in Qatar, a DIS conferencing system has now been ordered for the Landmark Hotel, Amman.

Following recent installations in Qatar, a DIS system has been chosen for the Landmark Hotel, Amman (pictured).

Advanced Solutions (AVS), the exclusive distributor of DIS products in Jordan, has ordered three DDS 5900 Digital Discussion Systems for the Landmark Hotel in Amman. The hotel features a large conference centre including the Royal Hall, Amman’s largest column-free hall.

Sami Jalil Janho, general manager of AVS, said of the system: “Simple, affordable, flexible” – just three words are enough to describe the idea of the system.”

Chris Hellmuth, area sales manager at DIS, said: “I’ve spent three days in Amman recently so I could see with my own eyes what AVS is capable to do. Audiovisual business is still some kind of niche market there and with their long-time experience in conferencing AVS is our first choice. Jordan, as a neighbouring country of Syria, is facing hard times at the moment, but Sami and his team are doing an incredible job – of course they can count on our full support!”

In other news, the first DIS DDS 5900 system has been sold in Egypt, with TECO placing an order for two. Both systems will be installed in the Airotel Hotel in Cairo.
