Crestron is to launch its new compact 2.8-inch touch screen, the TPMC-3SM, at ISE 2012 (Stand IF6). The new model expands on the popular TPMC-4SM line by presenting a discreet, stylish and affordable product that is designed to fit into a single gang wall box. Crestron’s 2.8-inch device, with the convenience of one-touch control for lights, HVAC, all AV sources and room booking facilities, now offers end users a compact solution for an uncomplicated and stylish office, which is also easy to install. The scaled-down design fills the void between pushbutton keypads and in-wall touch screens, which, together with its simple installation, extends the benefits to both integrators and end users alike. “Our new TPMC-3SM is an ultra-modern device that is affordable and effortless for everyday use within the corporate and education environments,” says Robin van Meeuwen VP of sales and marketing at Crestron International. “The ability to schedule meetings, adjust room temperatures and access all AV technology by one touch is now combined with a compact design that will blend seamlessly into all types of interior.” The TPMC-3SM is compatible with Crestron’s building management software, Fusion RV, and comes with the layouts pre-set, delivering a powerful room-scheduling solution for commercial buildings, schools and university campuses. Installed outside the entrance to every meeting room, the bright 2.8-inch LCD display and built-in dual-colour green and red status lights provide an immediate view of each room’s status and available AV sources. The TPMC-3SM enables users to book conference rooms using popular scheduling platforms such as Outlook, Lotus Notes and R25. Simply select the room location, meeting time and AV presentation resources needed to ensure that the room and equipment are warmed up and ready for use ahead of schedule. An Ethernet connection from your corporate LAN is all that’s needed to wire the TPMC-3SM. Power over Ethernet (PoE) removes the need for a local power supply or any dedicated power wiring, which allows greater mounting flexibility in both new builds and retrofits. “People will be amazed at what this little device can do,” says Robin van Meeuwen. www.crestron.euwww.iseurope.org
