Bulgarian beach bar upgrades with Martin Audio AQ

Martin Audio's AQ range of loudspeakers were installed as part of a major revamp to the La Playa Bar, situated on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.

A Martin Audio sound reinforcement system has been fitted in La Playa Bar in the seaside resort of Varna, on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast.

Bulgarian distributors Imperia AV supplied the Martin Audio architectural AQ system, which makes up part of the completely renewed interior of the bar.

Eight AQ8 satellite speakers have been installed into three zones in the revamped venue — the indoor area, front outdoor area and a delay line which covers the most remote spots on the beach.

To drive bass, four AQ212 sub-bass speakers have been fitted along the boundary between the outdoor and indoor areas, with power for the system arriving from Martin Audio MA2.0 and MA3.0 amplifiers (two units of each) managed by a dedicated DX1.5 digital controller.

A significant role for achieving studio quality sound is played by the silver-plated Van Damme signal and power cables, according to Imperia AV’s Galin Aleksiev, who has also specified industry standard DJ equipment.

Milen Minkov from the bar management states: “We were looking for an audio system that offered a soft and uniformly distributed lounge sound on the one hand, but which at the same time would bring power and dynamics to both DJ and live performance. Following a brief on-site demonstration, we were entirely convinced that Martin Audio was the only possible choice that could offer this complex combination at a reasonable price. The configuration and placement of the system was unexpectedly quick and easy.”
