Absolute Sounds introduces Wilson Audio Alexia

The new Wilson Audio loudspeaker is based on the company’s Alexandria XLF loudspeaker. This smaller, more cost-effective alternative uses the same midrange driver as the XLF and incorporates specially developed features.

UK distributor Absolute Sounds recently unveiled its latest residential audio offering – the Wilson Audio Alexia, which coms as ‘a more manageable’ sized version of Wilson’s Alexandria XLF loudspeaker. The new Alexia loudspeaker features fully proprietary drive units, which incorporates two newly designed bass drivers (10in and 8in), the same midrange driver as the XLF, and a specially developed version of Wilson Audio’s Convergent Synergy tweeter. The Treble and midrange drive units are housed in individually adjustable modules, allowing precise driver positioning for optimal dispersion. Meanwhile a sophisticated Wilson Audio crossover network ensures the drive units work in unison. The Enclosures are fashioned from Wilson Audio’s rigid and well-damped proprietary composites, dubbed ‘X-material’ and ‘S-material’. What’s more, each device is hand-build in Utah, USA, and finished in Wilson Audio’s automotive-class paint facility to each customer’s specific colour requirements. www.wilsonaudio.comwww.absolutesounds.com
