RGB looks to change Barco perception

According to RGB, Barco is perceived as being a player only in the large venue market - when, in fact, it has plenty offer in the business projection market.

RGB Communications has announced that it is to redouble its efforts to create a better understanding of Barco’s business projector offering.

“For years Barco has been the brand name in projection across all sectors, but lately it became mainly associated with large venue projection rather than providing market leading solutions for the business environment,” said Gordon Innocent, RGB’s chairman. “I think that perception will quickly change as our channel partners and crucially their customers, fully understand exactly what Barco’s best price for performance RLM range of business projectors can deliver.”

According to RGB, not only are all of the projectors in the RLM range the most silent, removing the strain of working alongside the constant drone of projector equipment, they also deliver flawless image quality from their three-chip DLP capability; their noise-reducing and power-saving design means that the RLM projectors consume 33% less power than competitive solutions and ultimate ease of use is achievable via the RLM Commander software.

“We see the RLM range as providing our channel partners with another powerful string to their bow when looking to meet the demands of their business customers for robust and reliable cost effective projection installations, from the smallest meeting room right up to a large corporate event,” said Innocent.

“From a price performance perspective the RLM range allows our channel partners to offer their customers the features and functionality of a three-chip DLP projector but at a single-chip DLP price, plus a three year swap/loan warranty,” Innocent continued. “With RLM projectors delivering from 6,300 up to 11,500 lumens it is clear that the future for Barco within the corporate environment is once again bright!”

RGB said that its channel partners looking for solutions for the rental and staging marketplace can choose from either the RLM or the HDX series. The three-chip DLP projectors from the HDX series offer both active and passive 3D along with wireless control options in one unit, and have a robust and sturdy design which allows them to be ready for the road in no time, said the company. They deliver 12,000 up to 18,000 lumens light output and their modular design enables modules to be removed and replaced quickly reducing servicing time.

“A great opportunity for our channel partners to take a closer look at Barco’s latest projectors will be the Barco Workshop at the British Museum on Tues 11 December and we will be providing more details nearer the time,” concluded Innocent.
