Long-term QSC executive Ray van Straten will now be responsible for all day-to-day marketing communications activities, as well as the development of QSC branding initiatives.
Bringing 20 years of experience to the position, van Straten previously served as QSC’s retail market manager and, most recently, as the company’s director of entertainer solutions. Prior to joining QSC, van Straten served as the OEM business development manager for Sonic Foundry and national accounts manager at Yamaha Corporation of America.
“I am excited and honoured to be entrusted with this responsibility,” said van Straten. “When you walk the corridors of QSC you see passion, pride and commitment to excellence in action across the entire organisation. This is the QSC I know and consider it a privilege to be in a position to share this narrative with our global professional audio community.”
Speaking to IE about objectives for the future, van Straten added: “QSC is a systems company. As our catalogue grows, so does our ability to partner more effectively with the fixed-installation community. In this next year, we will introduce groundbreaking new products that offer next-generation technology solutions to traditional installed sound challenges. The growth of QSC is on a soaring trajectory and I am most pleased to represent the company in delivering our systems solutions message worldwide.”
Gerry Tschetter, vice-president of marketing for QSC Audio Products, added: “Ray’s enthusiasm for the QSC brand combined with his deep knowledge of QSC and the pro audio community makes him the perfect choice to lead our Marcom team. The insight and leadership he has provided for our portable sound products will be a welcome addition across our entire line of professional audio solutions.”
