Panasonic hails professional display success

Long-time supporters of the performing arts, the Meyers’ enthusiasm for theatre has led to the company’s equipment being used for major productions worldwide. Recent examples including Wicked, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and touring and resident productions by Cirque du Soleil.

Also at the USITT Conference, architects Marcy Wong and Donn Logan were acknowledged with an Architecture Merit Award for their work on Meyer Sound’s Pearson Theatre. Outfitted with the company’s Constellation electroacoustic architecture, the 57-seat venue is used for events including movie screenings, musical presentations and audio seminars.

“The Pearson Theatre is like one of Meyer Sound’s products,” said Logan. “It represents John and Helen’s clear-sighted vision, and was designed with sophisticated research coupled with engineering know-how, and produced with precision and craftsmanship. It was an immensely rewarding experience to work so intensively with John, Helen, the consultants, and the gifted and dedicated staff at Meyer Sound. We are thrilled to have been part of it.”
