The Open Control Architecture (OCA) Alliance was established in June to pursue standardisation for the wider interoperability of professional audio equipment.
Now, the OCA Alliance has announced that observer members have been granted access to a first set of technical documents.
In collaboration, the Alliance’s nine full members – Bosch Communications Systems, d&b audiotechnik GmbH, Duran Audio, LOUD Technologies, Media Technology Systems, PreSonus, Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup, TC Group and Yamaha Commercial Audio – are continuing to work towards a final technical definition of OCA.
Observer members – which can now access the OCF Open Control Architecture Framework and OCC Open Control Architecture Control Classes documents – include Alcons Audio, Ashly Audio, Aviom, Riedel Communications and UMAN, among many others.
Members of this type are encouraged to give their feedback to the OCA Alliance at this early stage of development. They will then be able to take active membership in the second phase of the standardisation process.
Other companies interested in becoming observers should contact the OCA Alliance at info (a) oca-alliance.com.
