Blackmagic Design is showcasing its latest technologies including the new SMPTE ST 2110 IP converter 3x3G, which can transmit and receive three SDI sources and send out to SDI destinations using IP over Ethernet. The converter’s three outputs are fully independent and can be used simultaneously.
The company’s newest product on display, however, is the Micro Studio Camera 4K G2, a redesigned and re-engineered version of the original with a dual ISO 4K sensor and both HDMI and SDI outputs for local monitoring or distribution over SDI. It includes a built-in YRGB colour controller, a derivative of DaVinci Resolve, as well as multiple power options.
“We tend to see these cameras used in AV spaces across sports and stadiums; we’ve put them next to musicians on stage, and we’ve hidden them discreetly at AGMs where you can’t have podium cameras or something in the way of the audience,” explained Blackmagic technical sales director EMEA, Craig Heffernan. “It’s a great little utility camera; about the size of a tennis ball, and just so easily deployable. We’re showing how they can be integrated and connected across ST 2110 and how these technologies can interact.”
