Content production continues to grow in importance within the professional audiovisual world. ISE 2024 is reflecting this trend with a plethora of solutions on the show floor, and engaging sessions in the conference and free content programmes.
The ISE 2024 show floor will feature hundreds of companies with solutions for attendees looking to create and deliver content – primarily in the Content Production & Distribution Zone in Hall 4. Visitors to the Blackmagic Design stand, for instance, will find video editing products, cameras, colour correction and video switching tech, routers, disk recorders, monitors and software for multiple AV markets. Epiphan Video offers remote production capabilities in the cloud, video capture cards and live production encoding. Vizrt is an established master of real-time AR graphics, virtual sets, data-driven content and video playout, while 3D Storm will also be on hand with its video over IP, video over IT and live production expertise.
Other exhibitors serving the content production and distribution market, such as disguise, Roe Visual, Brompton Technology and Panasonic, can be found in the Multi-Technology Zone in Halls 3, 4 and 5.
Following its debut at ISE last year, the Content Production & Distribution Summit returns, once again co-hosted by content chair Ciarán Doran and futurist Amelia Kallman. Entitled ‘Brands: The New Broadcasters’, the Summit will explore how brands and corporates are creating and distributing incredible content direct to viewers, some working with high-end tech and professional broadcast facilities companies to reach audience numbers traditional TV broadcasts simply couldn’t attract. The all-day Summit is on Wednesday 31 January in room CC5.2.
The ISE 2024 keynote programme features two prominent content creators. At 17:15 on Tuesday 30 January, Oscar-winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will talk about how AV technology can be used as a tool for storytelling in a presentation called ‘Seeing through the Eyes of Others: Redefining the Art of Storytelling’. The same time the following day, digital artist Jeroen Van der Most will give a keynote entitled ‘Breaking Boundaries with Creative AI’, where he will share his insights into the evolving relationship between art and technology. The keynotes are free to attend, and will take place on the ISE Show Floor Stage in Hall 4 – close to the Content Production & Distribution Zone.
Stephen Nuttall, a keynote speaker at ISE 2023, will give a Tech Talk at 14:40 on Tuesday 30 January delving deep into the content technologies and strategies adopted by the 37th edition of the world’s largest regatta event. He will also retell the triumph of Horonuku – the wind-powered, world-record achieving Land Speed Glider that will also be on show in Hall 4.
Also in the Tech Talks programme, a session from 16:00-16:30 on Thursday 1 February will focus on Barcelona’s u22 Film Festival, supported by the Joan Miro Foundation. The session will celebrate aspiring creative minds under 22 years of age, and their innovative approaches to content production.
All Tech Talks are free to attend, and take place on the ISE Show Floor Stage in Hall 4.
